This great and well-upgraded 1990 Schumacher-designed, Ericson-built Olson 911S is for sale. Perfect for fully-crewed, double-handed or solo bay or ocean racing or cruising, or the 2010 PacCup/SoloTransPac. Really well maintained and well equipped.
In the opinion of many, the Olson 911 is one of the greatest 30′ all-around sailboats ever. A great handling, comfortable, practically indestructible ocean and bay boat with headroom, a stove and a head–and that can surf at double digits offshore.
Although many prefer the balsa-cored Pacific-built version, I specifically wanted the solid version. My opinion (not universally shared) is that a cored boat that’s been in the water for 20 years has undoubtably picked up a few hundred pounds of water, besides not being as generally bulletproof. YMMV.
What with work and family, she just doesn’t get sailed enough.
